First Visit at Crestview Family Dentistry

At Crestview Family Dentistry, we pride ourselves on creating a comfortable and personalized experience for every patient. Our team is passionate about serving the families of Crestview and the surrounding areas, and we are committed to meeting your unique oral healthcare needs with compassion and care.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

We offer three main types of exams for new patients :

1. Emergency Exam (Limited Exam)

If you are experiencing an urgent dental issue, such as oral pain, broken teeth, or an infection, we recommend scheduling an Emergency Exam. This appointment focuses on diagnosing the specific problem and exploring treatment options. While we strive to provide same-day care whenever possible, it may not always be guaranteed. For more generalized discomfort or ongoing concerns, a Comprehensive Exam may be more suitable.

2. Comprehensive Exam

For patients interested in becoming a long-term part of our practice, we recommend a Comprehensive Exam. This exam allows us to thoroughly assess your oral health, from teeth to gums, and create a customized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. We believe in personalized care, and this exam helps us determine the best approach for your dental health. For adult patients, we evaluate your gum health before proceeding with hygiene visits, as some may require specialized cleanings to address periodontal concerns.

3. Consultation Appointment

If you're exploring specific treatments, such as dental implants, All-on-4®/All-On-6® solutions, or implant-retained dentures, a Consultation Appointment will provide the information you need. During this visit, we will discuss your treatment options, general costs, and whether you might require additional procedures like bone grafting. After your consultation, we recommend scheduling a Comprehensive Exam to fully assess your oral health.

Preparing for Your Appointment

To ensure that we can provide the best care, please review our Privacy Notice, Financial Policy, Patient Care Guidelines, and Cancellation Policy before your visit. It’s also important to complete the New/Established Patient Forms (available in both English and Spanish) and provide a thorough health history, including a complete list of medications. This information allows us to offer the most personalized care and accommodate any specific healthcare needs.
